185: What is the point of The Inner Tube?

9/19/2017

Do we want The Inner Tube to grow? Where do we want this show to go in the future? We got an interesting email about the current state of our podcast, and it lead to an interested conversation about what the point of our show is.

There’s also some stuff about wheelbarrows (not barrels).
Also, we re-did the intro of today’s show after we recorded the episode, to better reflect what the show ended up being about. So that’s why the first minute of the show doesn’t really make any sense.

Kevin is finally BACK! So we spend the first few minutes of the show getting caught up on everything that's gone on while we've been apart.

Then we get into a discussion about PewDiePie and his recent use of "the n-word" on a livestream. Has he finally gone TUBE far?

183: Apparently You DON’T Need to Make Consistent Content

This week, I (Josh) have a really fun conversation with Inner Circle member Melanie Ahern. She runs my very favorite YouTube channel, and on this episode, we discuss her inconsistent release schedule and how she’s still been able to build an audience around her really unique content.

We also discuss whether or not you should stick to one theme on your YouTube channel when you’re starting out.
Kevin should be back next week. Thanks everyone for sticking with us for a few weeks while he has been away! And an extra special thank you to Gret Glyer, Jordan Taylor, and Melanie Ahern for helping me keep the show going in Kevin’s absence.
