And here ends Josh and Kevin’s Friendship, that lasted for surprisingly 7 years.
By the way, I do hope that they review Rise of Skywalker. No. They need to. But if they don’t, that’s fine. I’ll just go to Nashville and throw Josh into Kevin’s couch with a mic while Kevin is sitting there.

Josh: "Oh, hi, Kevin!"
Kevin: "Hi, Josh! Nice of you to drop by!"
Josh: "Well, I didn't exactly have a choice in the matter."
Kevin: "You're right. Whenever Gabriel tells you to do something, you'd better do it."
Josh: "Yeah, otherwise you don't get to speak until your son is born."
Kevin: "Are you having another one!?!"
Josh "...No, Kevin, I was just making a joke based on the Bible."
Kevin: "Or am I having one?"
Josh: "Are you, Kevskis?"
Kevin: "Or is Barkley having one?"
Josh: "I don't think that's going to happen..."
Kevin: "Hey, since you're here, what did you think about the new Star Wars movie? Have you seen this; have you heard about this?"
Josh: "Well, you see..."

*Gabriel clears his throat*

Josh: "Uh, Kevin, Gabriel was hoping we'd talk about it on the Inner Tube."
Kevin: "Well, let's just jump right into it then; looks like you have a microphone already."
Josh: "Yes, Gabriel was so... so considerate that he gave me this microphone for us to record the Inner Tube on."
Kevin: "Which mic do you have there, by the way?"
Josh: "Gabriel furnished me with a..."

*Gabriel clears his throat louder*

Josh: "Uh... We can talk about it in the episode. Gabriel doesn't want us to dilly-dally."
Kevin: "Alright, Josh, that's fine with me. Let's start the r-e-c-o-r-d-i-n-g..."
Josh: "Okay, 3,2,1..."
*intro music starts*
Josh: "MAJOR SPOILER ALERT: This week on the show! Star Wars Episode 9; was it any good?"
Kevin: "Or was it any bad?"
Josh: "Today we get..."
Kevin: "Or was it ugly?"
Josh: "Baby Yoda wasn't ugly"
Kevin: "Baby Yoda wasn't in this movie"
*intro music pauses*
Josh: "We're spoiling things already, Kevin? Shouldn't we get into the review before we start spoiling things?"
Kevin: "Well, I think that all the real Star Wars fans out there already know Baby Yoda wasn't in this movie."
Josh: "Yeah, but..."
Kevin: "Plus you said 'major spoiler alert', so let's get right into the major spoiling!"
Josh: "Kevin... we haven't even finished the intro."
Kevin: "Oh, well, let's finish it then."
Josh: "Alright"
Kevin: "We're finishing it all this week on the Inner Tube show!"
*intro music kicks in and finishes*

That's how I would picture the episode starting. Kevin did end up doing an episode about The Rise of Skywalker with Carmen, but they started a whole new podcast in order to showcase it. Kevin managed to not reference the Inner Tube directly during the recording, but he did reference Josh and use the "H-" Innerside joke. Then again, Carmen used the "H-" Innerside joke later on as well, so I don't think Kevin is the only one who misses the Inner Tube. I suppose Josh and Kevin did say "This week, this month, this YEAR on the show" in the intro of Inner Tube episode 265, so hopefully they're just waiting for 2020 to reboot the show. Maybe it'll be part of their New Year's Resolutions to do the Inner Tube more often, or do a "farewell tour" of some kind. Capitalize on limited edition merchandise, sponsorship deals, on-location episodes, and a spike in listenership before deciding to close down the show for good in 2021. (Or decide to keep it going in 2021... it just depends on how the "farewell tour" goes and if they want to prolong it.)

Regardless of what happens, Merry Christmas to Josh, Kevin, Corban, Gabriel, and all those who enjoy the Inner Tube!

Wow, that really makes me miss the Inner Tube. I'll have to start relistening to episodes from the beginning again, I guess. Though I do really hope Josh and Kevin could just skip making videos one week to record another episode (a lengthy episode, hopefully!).

And a Merry Christmas to you!
By the way, what podcast is that? Or is it another one of your “clever inventions?”
Also, I’m waiting for the episode to be released before I read any other reviews.
Meanwhile, I think I’ll hack the Inner Tube feed if they don’t release the episode I made them record. Then Corban and you (Jeff Ross) can start your own Inner Tube Podcast. Or I’ll just do it. Or both! I don’t know.

It's a word-for-word transcript from Episode 266: The Gabriel Takeover (hehehe)
It would be neat to be on a podcast with Corban. Actually, I was on a podcast episode with Corban once. It was for a fancast episode of the Aux Cable Podcast. If you search on YouTube "Corban Garcia Jeff Ross", the first result that comes up is a deleted scene from that conversation, which Corban posted to his YouTube channel. It's not the most riveting thing you've ever heard, but it does involve us chatting about the Inner Tube. So there's something you could do. Otherwise, the fancast portion from my conversation with Corban is located at 13:29-24:18 of Episode 045 of the Aux Cable... but that wasn't as InnerTube-like. Now the 29:39-47:45 of that episode has a conversation of me, Chris Howard, and Chris McGowan (Yours Truly, Chris) that gets into livestreaming advice and tips at the 39:43 mark, which is a little more like the kind of thing that would be discussed on the Inner Tube (and we even worked in some Innerside Jokes), and Josh Taylor appeared with some other Aux Cable fans at the 1:56:46-2:19:29 mark to talk about what if Disney ruled the whole world, so if you need a little something to hold you over during this Inner Tube hiatus, I recommend checking that out. The audio quality wasn't perfect since we didn't have Kevin doing our audio, but it worked.

It would be fun to do another podcast with Corban sometime. He's a really talented fellow. He put some vlogs up on his YouTube channel recently that would sound boring if I tried to describe them to you, but they are really well done and engaging.

It’s been more or less unofficially confirmed that The Inner Tube is over. We all knew this day would happen, but my podcast library still feels a little emptier now. I’m thankful for the show and I’m actually going through all episodes one last time to collect some moments I’d love to make animatics for. If any fans think of any ideas, let me know!

Josh, Kevin, thank you for giving me the boost to create at times I’ve needed it the most. It was also an honor to have been able to create your cover art and it has always made me smile every time you’ve utilized it. Take good care, you too. Don’t stop creating!

So you are agreeing that the Inner Tube is over, at least for now? I was hoping it was a situation like the Album 50-51 hiatus on AIO.

It seems so, doesn't it?

Gabriel

Well, Kevin did suggest (in what episode I don't 'memba [Jeff Ross... help here..]) for a artwork of (presumably in cartoon fashion) him and Josh in separate (SEPARATE) inner tubes, riding down a river, which had media logos, such as YouTube, Facebook, etc. The words, "The Inner Tube," would be in the sky, and a waterfall in the background.
He did say it was a joke, but if you want a challenge, well there's something you could do.

Gabriel, I apologize, but I don't have the episode handy at the moment and trying to locate it might prove to be a bit of a challenge, since I don't recall it as vividly as you do and those clues you gave doesn't narrow down my search much. XD But if I come across it, I'll let you know.

I might have to get your contact info sometime, Gabriel, since you seem to be a big fan of the podcast, and with the knowledge from this show you might end up making some pretty neat content of your own. :) If you have a YouTube channel or a podcast or something, let me know and I'll check it out.

In the latest episode of Kevin and Carmen Talk About Stuff, they said that the Inner Tube is probably over. So listen to the beginning of episode 3 of Kevin and Carmen's podcast to hear the Inner Tube discussed.

If anyone wants to help out (Jeff Ross, I think you'd be very helpful), I have created an Inner Tube Wiki. It's on a free hosting plan, so sometimes you have to refresh it, but hey it works - at least for now! It's here: http://innertubewiki.byethost16.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page

Oh, that looks cool! Thanks Jay! I have bookmarked the page, and I might just do some write ups there when I find time. It would give me an excuse to go back through old episodes of the Inner Tube again. :) We'll see, though.

Oh, look, we're up to 16 comments now. XD I'm guessing this comment section might end up with a lot more by the time episode 266 releases. (And yes, I am holding out hope that eventually an episode 266 will be made.)

That moment when you realize the Inner Tube is definitely over for three reasons:
1. They did not review The Rise of Skywalker.
2. They have not discussed the Mandalorian.
3. They did not talk about I Still Believe.
All these signs should have told us that the Inner Tube is indefinitely over.
