This week on the show, Kevin and Josh share the story of how Kevin started doing the sound design each week for Blimey Cow! Hard to believe he's been doing it for around 4 and a half years now!

Since this episode did not release on Tubesday of this week, I listened to something that the Fanatical Aux Cable Enthusiasts recommended: Episode 18 of the old Blimey Cow podcast. It was quite surreal to hear an energetic Kevin before Episode 001 of the Inner Tube. The episode also contained the "starring role" innerside joke origin story AND in it, Kevin actually recommended Audacity! The episode also had Garrett Vandenberg and Kelli Taylor with Josh & Kevin, so it was a fun episode. I highly recommend all Inner Tube comment readers go back and listen to it.

The timing could not have been more perfect, because so much of what they talked about in that episode was rehashed or referenced in this Inner Tube episode.

I also went back and watched that Blimey Cow video "I Don't Want Anything for Christmas." with Kevin's narration and the rhyming script; it was fun, I enjoy rhyming very much, but it was difficult to watch because the Blimey Cow crew wasn't as used to delivering rhymes as they are today, so the presentation was a little stilted. On top of that, there was Grandpa Jordan "dancing" at the end...tube much cringe.

Fun fact: I took a look at demographic data for the Inner Tube, and the number of females listening to the show is up to 16 now!

(That fact actually is not real, it's just #MyTheTrubth.)

I was a little hard on the Blimey Cow video. It's not that bad when considering what Blimey Cow was then; if they did something like that now, though, the expectations would be much higher.

It was pretty cool to hear Kevin say "good night" in the video, even though his YouTube channel wouldn't start for another month. What is fascinating to me is that the commercial at the end almost ended up rhyming as well, but it didn't.
