Hmmm.... Yeah although it's a fun time, don't think it's great.

Most people like the casino, but the fact that the whole thing is meaningless because plot twist, which is a theme in the movie, I can understand somewhat heavy plot twists, but there's so many that it just feels unfocused, the worst being: "Plot twist: luke is force projection! he can't get hurt! Plotwist: he still dies" They need to disable the tracker! lets go get it! Plotwist: they get cought, Plotwist: wouldn't matter anyways because they're leaving in pods

Ahh! Yesss! I know I'm a little late to the party, but it was refreshing to hear you guys talk about this. I personally really enjoyed The Last Jedi (probably my top favorite Star Wars film) and I also didn't like Rogue One as much.

I thought The Last Jedi did a wonderful job making you care about the characters but in Rogue One, I really *really* wanted to care, but I just didn't at the end. Everyone died, but I didn't feel as devastated by that as I would have hoped. It just wasn't great storytelling. With The Last Jedi, I was always on the edge of my seat and it felt like there were plot twists around almost every corner. Sure, there were a couple things that I thought could have been better (I found Leia's flight back to the ship a little weird but I could excuse it after thinking about it, and I thought Finn not sacrificing himself and destroying the canon was a little anti-climactic considering what he risked to get to it, but I could appreciate the thinking behind it), but as a whole, I really enjoyed it.

If Luke had gone in person, he would have been killed by the initial barrage from the walkers, and wouldn't have been able to apologize to Ben.
