I definitely think that the lack of end cards (not the YouTube Cards) is hurting many content creators. I've noticed a distinct lack of them lately, especially with creators that have a moderate but not universal following (such as BlimeyCow) which is odd. With a format that is great for watching many in a row (which I often do), the end-cards can promote multiple watching, especially if the videos are on a similar subject (YouTube's suggested does help with binge watching, but not as well as end cards). However, large content creators (GMM for example) use end cards all the time probably to their success. And I also notice a lot of smaller creators using them to try to promote their other videos.

Is this because the medium-sized content creators begin assuming that everyone can navigate their channel by this time? Or iIs this mainly because annotations don't work on mobile? I assume that's part of it. I guess also the hassle of adding the end card is difficult, but with a template, I'd assume it's pretty easy.

Not really picking on any particular creator, it's just a trend I've been noticing lately that people aren't promoting their other work as prominently inside the video as they used to. I'd love to hear others' thoughts on this.
