Hey Josh and Kevin, first off, I like the contest, I think Adler's is the funniest in my opinion. But, SSDs do die, as HDD do as well. SSDs are rated for a number of "write cycles" that after that they will die. This is a very large number, and when people try to actually break one for benchmarking it it takes them like a year of just writing and erasing to it. But, I would also recommend getting a RAID enclosure, as if you run something in a RAID 1, it will do what Kevin was talking about, having two drives cloned, automatically. And then if a drive fails it will alert you and you can replace the drive and it will rebuild itself. Another connector on Macs is also Thunderbolt.
